a good friend sent us these fun sticker photos caught in various urban settings.

In his 1889 essay The Decay of Lying Oscar Wilde was recognized for coining the phrase  “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life”. But from my perspective, and the art I have been creating, life’s current sociological pattern is a heavy influence of what I am creating and developing. I believe the Internet has made it exciting and fun to take part in a small form of mini-voyeurism without the ramifications of public scrutiny, as long as it’s not taken too far. Where and how else can people of so many diverse backgrounds, cultures, hobbies, and professions collide, comment and interact with such enthusiasm. If you get pissed off you just unfriend, unlike or block them. I say rejoice, reach out and celebrate. You never know what you will learn, see or who you’ll meet. Get your eye on.

After months of dinking around with vendors, people and money we have some merchandise being finished up. It think it is just the tip of the iceberg for Big Eye-O. We have a photo shoot scheduled later this month and the store should be live in the weeks to follow. Much more work and effort than I anticipated. But everyone says that.

BigEye-O puts it’s own spin on the iconic, or cliche, symbol of “I Heart”. We believe watching is as fun as doing or that watching is the doing. Be watched, be seen, be outstanding in our soon to be coming BigEye-O apparel.

Lets face facts; we are a society based on the principles of individualism. Many times the marquee is bigger than the movie, the uniform bigger than the team; buildings, schools, stadiums and events bought, paid for and named for who rather than what takes place there. Fame is attained easier than ever by the pure proclamation of “Look at Me, I am Wonderful”. BigEye-O commends that attitude because everyone deserves his or her day in the sun.

We have our eye on peace. Introducing the BigEye-O version of the over manipulated peace sign, such a beautiful mark to begin with.

Scopopfilia or scoptofilia – derived from the Greek word “skopeo” meaning (I see; I look; to take aim at or the “love of looking”). Historically the scopopfilia has been associated with erotic pleasures from looking. But recently the word has been referenced to the viewing of in depth films, events or even people that we can’t take our eyes off of. Scopopfilia is the unconscious pleasure described when watching with great interest. For BigEye-O the idea of such passion is turning that into a fun, playful apparel brand. We are starting out slow but have big ideas. Eye See You; See Me.
